Library Hours:
- Monday-- Friday 8 am - 4 pm (except when Staff Meetings are scheduled)
- Students are invited to use the library before school at 8:00 a.m., during Study Hall and throughout the day.
- A student must have a pass or a signed planner from their teacher to use the library during class time.
- Before school, students should obtain a library pass from the teacher on duty in the entrance foyer.
- Students should request a library pass for study hall from the librarian before school.
Check Outs:
- Students may check out up to three books at a time for a period of two weeks.
- No new items will be checked out until overdue books are returned or replaced.
- Items may be renewed at the discretion of the librarian.
Fines:
- Students are charged a late fine for materials not returned on time.
- The fine for books is .05 cents per school day, after a grace period of 5 days.
- Fines are not charged during a holiday period or on the weekend.
- All fines or lost book charges must be cleared before a student may borrow another item from the library.
Computer Use:
- The BMSN Library Media Center houses 32 computers for student use.
- Any Internet research or computer use in he library must be educational in nature.
- Students are required to have parent permission and a signed AUP in order to use library computers.
Library Staff:
The BMSN Library Media Specialist is Lori Rogers. She holds a masters' degree in Library Science from the University of North Texas, and a Bachelors' degree in Secondary Education from Texas A&M University. (Whoop!!) Contact Mrs. Rogers at:
